For this trip, I booked the car and tour guide service from the same company
I used previously. The total cost for transportation and guide was just around 60
dollar for whole day.

It took me around one and a half hours from Yangon to Bago with rush hoursAvailable and free (around the entrance)
traffic. Luckily, I came to the city just the perfect time for donating rice to monks at
Kyakhatwine Monastery.

As I had no chance to prepare any food from home, my guide showed me
whereI could pick up rice for donation. By eleven AM sharp, Monks were lined up for
donation and they walked from one building to the lunch hall. There were hundreds of
Chinese, Japanese and Thai tourists along the hallway waiting for offering snacks and food to monks. Everything were a bit chaotic but everyone seems to understand
instructions.

Every Pagoda has something different, and Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda is one of
the most interesting pagodas. They were built over a thousand years ago ( During AD
825) by two merchant brothers. This place was destroyed several times due to
earthquakes and many disasters, and the old broken parts still lie on the ground of
pagoda today.
I visited this pagoda in middle of the hot day and walking on the hot floor was so
difficult. I would avoid to visit the pagoda in the day time next time.

My last stop for this one day trip was Shwe Tha Lyaung which was the largest reclining image of Buddha. This place was built in AD 994 by King Migadipa and it was reconstructed by King Buyiant Naung.
There were two other places that I decided not to visit during this trip, I was too
exhausted from the long trip and the heat. I asked my guide to stop at Thai restaurant in Bago
for a late lunch and it was a good one ( I sometimes miss Thai food during the long trip).
My guide recommended me to head back to the town before the busy period for avoiding traffic.
Overall, Bago was a great place for a one day trip and the total cost for the whole day was very
reasonable.
