3rd Class train from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi

    Kanchanaburi one day tour by train is cheapest and easiest things to do during the weekend. Kanchaburi is one of the famous WII historical town which offer different types of attraction such a museums, waterfalls, caves, River Kwai, national parks, temples, annual festival and this one day trip can capture most of them.

    Train leaves from Hua lampong station early in the morning to the Nakornpathom as the first stop for quick breakfast. For this trip, I prepared a picnic basket for a day. I packed coffee, a lot of water, snack and some food for a day. If you are not familiar with local Thai food such as Somtum and sticky rice, I would recommend to prepare your own meals. The toilet in the train is nice and clean, and there are toilet in every train stations. 

    Then the train takes all tourists to Kanchanaburi for sightseeing. Train stops a couple times for the famous bridge, cemetery and waterfall. The views from railway are amazing, some parts of rail track made during WWII by war prisoners which is rich of histories.

    Train returns to Bangkok around 7 PM which is a perfect time for having dinner somewhere near stations.
