Ngwe Saung beach

Eskala Hotel

                      Choosing one of the holiday destination in Myanmar is uneasy and there are a lot to discover in this land of golden pagoda. Delicious cuisine and scenery  in every state are unique from one to another. We were narrow down by choices of activities that we would like to do and we decided to do our road trip to Ngwe Saung Beach.
                       Ngwe Saung Beach located 30 miles from Pathein, Burma. The beach is 6 hours drive away from Rangoon. Same as most of Myanmar beach, Ngwe Saung is unspoiled and undiscovered.
                       So as a foreigner, driving from Yangon to Ngwe Saung was very interesting experience. There were number of toll in every cities (500 Kyat) and even some group of people on the street collected the entrance fee. Two lanes road were dark at night and there were no street lights.  Our GPS systems were not working properly but fortunatly it seems accelerate.

                      There are flight from Yangon a 35 minutes trip from Yangon and also the night bus if you would like to get here by public transportation.
                      We were staying at Eskala hotel for this trip, I really like the location and facility of the hotel. Breakfast buffet were so amazing with different type of local noodle each day. The cheese plate and bread was so impressive. However, for every additional fees, the hotel will charge in dollar. Food prices are a little bit expensive but it was in good quality.
                   

           
                    I really like the easy-going and peaceful atmosphere of the beach. White sand beach stretches from several miles and the village can be found the northern end. We were enjoying walk on the low tide to golden pagoda but most of the time we just laid back at swimming pool all day.
                    In the village there are some good seafood restaurants as well as shops selling local products. We had variety of fantastic seafood  dishes cooking in local style at the village.
