Haidilao Hot Pot

       At 11 pm on Thursday night, We were waiting table at  Haidilao Hot Pot  at  Beijing Road with my colleague. We were at over 1 hour waiting line but our local interpreter gave highly recommended on this place for great food and excellent service so the 100+ queue at that night could not stop me for this food experience ( I love to be  in long queue, It s part of famous food hunting journey). Later our Interpreter told us that the waitress help to shorten the queue for us, they said the tourist temp to order more so we are a preferenace. 

       Haidilao HotPot located in 5th floor of commercial building on Beijing road and you can find more information through their facebook. This place is open 24 hours and there are number of franchise through the Asia. 

       After a big long waiting while, we were ushered to our table and we were giving aprons to protect our clothes and our bags. Overall staff services at this point were amazing, I had no doubt why local recommend us this place. We wanted to experience everything  so for this meal we ordered 4 different type of soup in our table (I love to try everything!). We selected  from non spicy option (tomato based), plain chicken soup base, chili soup base and Mala Soup base (Extremely spicy).

     The menu came on touch screen device in English with pictures, and the English speaking staff assisted us for ordering. 

     However what would I recommend everyone to have is noodle and seafood. When you order noodle,  waiter staff did a kind of dancing performance at our table while stretching the handmade noodle, this was  so much fun and good for picture taking. When our seafood was serve, the staff service was that they were helping us to de-shells our prawns and clam. So I never have to worried about getting hand dirty with seafood at all. Actually this was the first time in my life that waiter staff actually peel these prawns and de-shells shellfish for me, what an exprerience!

   

     Self service Salad, fruit and dozen types of sauces at the side bar. I mixed about eight types of sauce based on my feeling. The first one was something like chili, peanut butter, oyster sauce, light soy sauce and ect (This one was definitely too spicy) and I mixed the second one with something simple like just plain sesame sauce with coriander.

     The overall meal was fantastic with reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this to everyone to visit.
